Patients

Welcome

Welcome to Marin Spine and Sports. We offer a variety of services, and our approach is hands on. We develop and use whatever resources and methods are most suited to treat you most efficiently and effectively. Our goal is to get you better as quickly as possible so that you may go on with your life.

To help familiarize you with our facility, we would like to share with you the following office policies. These have been developed to help serve you better, keep our fees affordable and assure our patients the best care possible. If you have any questions regarding out policies, please do not hesitate to ask our staff. They are well trained and will be glad to help you in any way you need.

Appointments

Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. We strongly recommend that you make your appointments in advance. This guarantees you get your ideal time and day and ensures your being seen in a timely manner. We often have daily waiting lists of patients who are trying to get in for treatment.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we request that new patients give us 48 hours notice and existing patients give us 24 hours notice. This enables us to offer your appointment time to someone on our waiting list who may be in acute pain. If you miss an appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, a $50-$100 charge will be automatically posted to your account.

Payments

In an effort to keep our fees and your balance low, we ask that you make your payment at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, and all credit cards. For our cash patients, if it looks like you will need a block of treatments, we do offer discount rate packages. Please ask our staff for details.

Insurance

Some of our patients are fortunate enough to have health insurance to help defray the cost of treatment. We are a fee for service provider and are not providers with, nor do we bill any medical insurance companies. The overwhelming majority of insurance plans do not cover all treatment in full. You are responsible at the time of service for your payments. If you have out-of-network coverage, we can provide you with a “Superbill” so you may submit your visits yourself. We cannot guarantee any eligibility, extent of coverage, or any payment by your insurance. You are ultimately responsible for all payments and submitting any paperwork requested to your insurance company. Please be advised, We are not participating providers with Medicare as we perform services that Medicare states are not allowed to be performed by chiropractors. This means that you may not bill Medicare for services rendered by our providers. Please inform us before treatment if you are a Medicare recipient and we will provide you with a Medicare Billing opt out agreement that is often accepted by supplemental plans in lieu of a denial from Medicare. We want to remind you that it is your responsibility to make sure we always have your current insurance information on file. Again, if you have any concerns you can ask any of our staff.
